ODBDSLC36 Be Still

The current Shining the Light Challenge at ODBD is to use gold or silver cording, craft hemp, or string on our projects.  I decided to use hemp.

I knit a small panel using the hemp.  I wanted to have the juxtaposition of the rough hemp and roughness of the distressing (both tearing and sponging) against the elegance of the pearls and the beauty of the flowers.  I love this verse as it is a reminder that in the hectic times and crazy days that we need to take time and know that God is directing our paths and guiding us.

I stamped the verse using Versafine Onyx Black and the distressing is done with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I used a Tim Holtz distress tool to rough up the edges of the K&Co. dp and the sentiment panel and mat.  I only have 1 pearl flourish and it was too big for this card.  I wanted to cut it apart, but I just couldn't bring myself to cut it, so I tried to create my own using the Recollections pearl strips from Michael's.

I took a few closeups too.  These flowers are some oldies from my stash.

Lots of distressing!  The sentiment is from ODBD's Scripture Collection 3

Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Sarah
