ODBDSLC39 Snowflakes

This week's Shining the Light Challenge at ODBD was to use snowflakes somewhere in our design.  I just got the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament dies, so I decided to try and fit a sentiment on the ornament die cut.

I used a sentiment from the ODBD set "Luke 2:11."  I had to turn the ornament shape upside down to make the sentiment fit.  I stamped the verse in Versafine Onyx Black and then die cut it.  I embossed the die cut image and then sponged around the edges using Vintage Photo Distress Ink while the cut out was still in the die.

I used Basic Grey "Jovial" dp, a burgundy May Arts silk ribbon tied with my Bow Easy, and a snowflake from my stash.  I used a bit of silver elastic cording to make an ornament hanger.

Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Sarah

I'm thrilled to add that this card was picked as one of the spotlighted cards for the Snowflake challenge.  Thank you!
