TSTR 38 and WMSC26

The current challenge at TSTR is Get in Shape.  We are challenged to make a project that is not square or rectangular.  I opted to use a circle as the base of my card.

I started with this Waltzing Mouse Sketch, but as you can see, I added a bit to it!
Here's my card. (Sorry that the colors are yellowy - had to photograph the card this evening in order to make TSTR's contest deadline Sunday night).

ETA:  Here's the difference natural daylight makes when photographing cards.  I kept the original picture of the entire card just for comparison.

The base of the card is the second smallest of the Mega Nestie circles.  The inner dp circle was made with the smallest of the Mega Nestie circles. The dp is from MME's "Quite Contrary" collection.   I used a sentiment from Verve's "Thankful Accents" and stamped that in Versafine Onyx Black.   I added a little flower button to the tag I made using one of the Nestie labels and sponged around the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I used some crocheted lace from my stash to make a border and sponged the edges as the plain white lace was just too stark.

I zigzagged around the dp circle panel just to help with the transition of those elements. Then I added some pink satin ribbon that has gold edging.  I added some 1/8" Scor Tape on the back of it and then just kept folding it back on itself to make my inner border.  I was nearly all the way around the circle and I realized I was going to run out of the gold edged ribbon - ack!  So then I decided to cover that gap by adding some roses.  I changed the flower in the sketch to a May Arts pink silk ribbon bow that I tied with my Bow Easy.

Here are a few detail shots.

ETA:  I'm so excited to add that my card was chosen as one of the Top 3 for Challenge 26!  I'm so honored to have been picked from all of the fabulous entries.  Thank you WMSC!

Thanks for stopping by!
Blessings,
Sarah
